Overview
OneSea is the venture around which Zebra Labs was formed. After several years in the maritime industry, the founding team saw a clear opportunity: vessels were still managing critical workflows through fragmented tools, repeated data entry, and outdated processes.
The vision was to build a platform that vessels could sign up to once, add their crew once, and then use as the foundation for an ecosystem of apps that support life on board and in port.
What Zebra Labs delivered
Zebra Labs led the design and development of the platform foundations and early product experience. The work focused on turning an industry insight into usable software, not just a prototype.
The first product released in the ecosystem was Sentry. Sentry simplifies embarking and disembarking processes, gives vessels a real-time passenger manifest, and supports safety processes through features such as in-port muster.
Why it mattered
The value of OneSea is not only in a single feature. It is in the direction of travel: reducing repeated admin, improving operational visibility, and creating a platform that can support multiple connected maritime workflows over time.
